Lessons in AAM Studio

Built to our high standards

What do you want to play?

Kids and adults, first note to advanced repertoire. Every lesson is built around the songs, styles, and goals you care about, with a teacher who loves teaching them.

How it works

From sign-up to first note in four steps

Everything happens in one dashboard: credits, booking, your AAM Studio lessons, practice notes, recordings, and messages.

  1. 1

    Choose your sound

Pick your instrument and browse our teachers' profiles, each showing their availability, to find the teacher who fits you best.

  2. 2

    Set the stage

Click Book Now on their profile to choose a time and pay for your first lesson, or sign up and book from your dashboard. Either way takes just a few minutes. Pay by card or PayPal for a single lesson, a lesson pack, or a discounted monthly plan. A lesson pack or monthly plan also lets you lock in a weekly slot that books itself.

  3. 3

    Let the music begin

At lesson time, open your dashboard and click Join AAM Studio. Lessons run right in your browser with nothing to install, a reminder email arrives before each lesson, and you can sync lessons to Google, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.

  4. 4

    Keep the tune playing

After each lesson, your teacher's practice notes and materials land in your portal, with the lesson recording playing right on the note. Notes are yours to keep; recordings stay for 10 days after the lesson, so rewatch them while they are posted. Questions between lessons? Message your instructor from the Messages page. Plans change? Move a lesson any time before it starts, or cancel 24 hours ahead and keep your credit.

Paying with an ESA or scholarship program?

Create your free student account, then order lessons through your program. With ClassWallet, generate your invoice here and submit it to ClassWallet. With Odyssey, TEFA and other marketplaces, order our lesson packs there. We add the lessons to your account as soon as the payment reaches us, and you receive a notification a month before they run out so there is time to order more. Not sure we work with your program? Please feel free to .

Weekly lessons on autopilot

Set your weekly time once. We handle the rest.

Pick a day and time with your teacher and that slot is yours every week. Each lesson is created and paid for from your credits automatically, so there is nothing to rebook, no reminder to set, and no chasing a calendar. Pair it with a monthly plan and your credits refill on their own too.

Claim your weekly slot

Books itself every week

Same teacher, same day, same time, weekly or every two weeks. Each lesson is booked a few days ahead and appears on your dashboard without you lifting a finger.

One credit per lesson, automatically

One credit is drawn as each lesson is booked. Add a monthly plan and they refill on their own.

A heads-up before you run low

Your dashboard shows when your credits are projected to run out, and we email you about two weeks ahead with a link to top up, so your lesson slot never lapses by surprise.

Your lesson slot is held for you

Miss a top-up? Your time stays reserved until the day before the next lesson, and your dashboard shows the exact date. Skip a week, move a week, or cancel the series any time.

Our vetting process

Great online lessons need more than a great musician

Here's how rigorous our vetting process is. Every teacher on our roster is screened before day one, and maintains the All Around Music standard in every lesson.

Step 1

Educators through and through

Teachers first: earned degrees in music, ranging from a bachelor's to a doctorate, backed by years of teaching online music lessons.

Step 2

Professional gear

Quality microphones and cameras, so you hear every note clearly and your teacher hears yours.

Step 3

Effective online instruction

A live demo lesson where we look for a clear lesson plan and an instructor who adapts on the fly, using modern tools and camera setup to keep the lessons fun, engaging, and effective.

Step 4

Ongoing quality

Student feedback, lesson notes, and progress are reviewed continuously, so the standard you see in your first lesson is the standard you get in every lesson after.

All Around benefits

Everything you need to actually improve

Lasting progress takes more than one lesson a week. You get a dedicated teacher, a clear plan, and a portal that keeps the momentum going in between.

Vetted teachers

Learn from teachers who earned their spot

Working musicians from across the country, screened for experience, gear, and how well they teach online.

Tailored lessons

Lessons built around you

Your songs, your pace, your goals. Kids, teens, and adults from day one to advanced.

Learn from home

Music for the whole family

No commute, no waiting room. Parents can sit in, follow the practice notes, and watch progress week by week.

Rigorously vetted instructors

Every teacher earns their spot: years of playing and teaching experience, professional audio and video gear, and demonstrated expertise teaching online.

Your schedule, your calendar

Book single lessons on any open slot, or lock in a weekly or every-two-weeks time that books itself. Move a lesson any time before it starts; cancel 24 hours ahead and your credit comes back.

Practice notes and an interactive notebook

After each lesson your teacher's notes, sheet music, and the lesson's notebook pages land in your portal, organized by lesson. Mark up the music with your own fingerings and reminders to help your performance. Practice with autoscroll and a built-in metronome, and turn pages hands-free with a page turner pedal.

Private, recorded lessons in AAM Studio

One-on-one in AAM Studio, our own lesson room made for music, right in your browser. Every lesson is recorded automatically and plays on the practice note for that lesson date, so you can rewatch the tricky parts. Recordings stay for 10 days after the lesson; your notes stay for good.

First lesson guaranteed

Not the right fit? Your first lesson is on us. Full refund, no questions asked.

Multiple payment options

Lesson packs, discounted monthly plans, or single pay-as-you-go lessons. ESA, Odyssey, ClassWallet, and more scholarship funds accepted (please check with us first and we will let you know if we are a partner of the program).

FAQ

Good to know

What do I need to get started?+
Your instrument, a device with a camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet space for your lesson. Headphones give the best sound. Not sure what to choose? Message us from the chat bubble on any page before booking.
How do I pay and book?+
Two ways. Click Book Now on a teacher's profile, choose a time, add the student's details, and pay; your account is created with that purchase and the lesson is booked. Or create a free student account first, buy a lesson pack, a discounted monthly plan, or a single pay-as-you-go lesson (card or PayPal), then pick your teacher and an open time from their calendar on your dashboard. Each lesson uses one credit of the matching length (30, 45, or 60 minutes).
How do online lessons work?+
Every lesson is a private, one-on-one session in AAM Studio, our own video lesson room that runs right in your web browser with nothing to install. You get a confirmation email with the join link and a reminder before the lesson starts. At lesson time, just click Join AAM Studio on your dashboard or in the email. Your instructor will be waiting.
Who are the instructors?+
Working musicians and educators from across the country. Every applicant is screened for years of playing and teaching experience, then must show professional audio and video gear and a live demonstration of how they teach online. We are strict about who joins the roster, and every teacher you see here has cleared every step.
Are online lessons really as good as in person?+
With the right teacher and setup, yes absolutely. Our teachers use quality microphones and cameras so you hear every nuance, and each one knows how to adapt on the fly to keep the lesson fun, engaging, and effective: close-up camera angles, modern teaching tools, and materials shared directly in your portal.
How do I get the best sound in AAM Studio?+
AAM Studio never filters your sound, so sustained notes come through just as you play them. The first time you join, it asks whether you are using headphones. With headphones, echo cancelling switches off too and the sound is in stereo, the most natural it gets. Without them, echo cancelling stays on so nobody hears themselves back. You can change this any time under Settings in the room, where you can also pick another camera, microphone, or speaker. A wired headset or external microphone helps too; Bluetooth earbuds compress the sound.
Can I message my teacher between lessons?+
Yes. Your portal includes messaging with your teacher and our support team, with photos, PDFs, and Word documents attached, so a question about a tricky passage or a piece of sheet music never has to wait until the next lesson. You get an email whenever someone replies.
Can I set up a standing weekly lesson?+
Yes, and it is the easiest way to learn. Choose a day and time with your teacher, weekly or every two weeks, and each lesson from then on is booked and paid for from your credits automatically. We email you before credits run low, your lesson slot stays reserved until the day before the next lesson so you have time to top up, and you can skip a week, move a week, or cancel the series any time from your dashboard.
What if I need to reschedule?+
Move any upcoming lesson to another open time from your dashboard, right up until it starts, with no extra credit used. Cancel at least 24 hours before the lesson and your credit returns to your balance; within 24 hours it does not. If your teacher cancels, the credit always comes back.
Can I watch my lessons again?+
Yes. Every lesson in AAM Studio is recorded automatically, starting when both teacher and student are in the room. Shortly after the lesson, the recording plays on the practice note for that lesson date and under Latest lesson on your dashboard. Recordings are kept for 10 days after the lesson, so watch them soon; your practice notes stay in your portal. Recordings are private to your account.
Can I manage lessons for more than one child?+
Yes. One parent account covers the whole family. Add each child under Profile, choose who a lesson is for when you book, and practice notes and recordings are labelled per child and teacher.
Can lessons show up on my own calendar?+
Yes. Under Settings, connect Google Calendar or subscribe from Outlook or Apple Calendar. Booked single and recurring lessons, with their AAM Studio link, appear there and update on their own when a lesson moves.
What if I am not satisfied?+
We offer a no-risk money-back guarantee on all first lessons if you are not satisfied with your lesson for any reason.
Do you accept education savings accounts?+
Yes. We work with ClassWallet, Odyssey, and many state ESA and scholarship programs. Generate your ClassWallet invoice, or contact us at contact@allaroundmusic.us and we will confirm whether we are a partner of your program.
